A child’s innate ability to learn and absorb information from their environment is truly astounding. As quoted from The Absorbent Mind, “the child has a mind able to absorb knowledge.  He has the power to teach himself.” When placed in an environment created specifically to teach children, it is essential that institutions craft experiences allowing the child to learn in the best way possible. However, we see that modern schools, in fact, do not do this. 

Stacey Montessori aims to reject such uninventive practices by instead fostering conditions that encourage and inspire children to learn. As a result, our students will nourish their innate need to discover and absorb skills and lessons from their own surroundings, thus allowing for a holistic and enthusiastic learning environment.
