At Stacy Montessori Academy, our single largest mission is to “Equip the child with the keys that unlock their potential on their own”. To achieve this, the children need to develop to be independent, self-directed, self-disciplined, act consciously and know subconsciously when to learn and when they are ready. We work to place in their subconscious mind that learning is a continuous process for life.

Unlock the Potential

The child’s education and personality play a vital role in developing their approach to learning. It is not entirely true that the child needs to be a born good learner. With positive habits and motivation any child can become a good learner.

“If pedagogy is to take its place among the sciences, it must be characterized by its method; and the teacher must prepare herself, not by means of the content, but by means of the method.”

– Maria Montessori, The Advanced Montessori Method, Vol 1.

As adults around the child (parent + guide), we have an important task to make most of the time to support the learning at school and home. To get them started we have to UNLOCK their potential with the right key at the right time.

“Grown-ups and children must join their forces. In order to become great, the grown-up must become humble and learn from the child.”

– Dr. Maria Montessori The Absorbent Mind, p. 267
